Founded in 1926 by William Kratt Sr., the Wm. Kratt Company is the only company in America producing these quality pitch instruments. With a total of 7 employees, they create several hundred thousand pitch pipes each year. Each pipe is hand-crafted and individually tuned.

The circular Master Key pitch pipes cover the full range of the chromatic scale, using 13 hand-tuned special bronze reeds with patented tone chambers – precision-tuned and checked to A-440. The scale is arranged in sequence and clearly marked by note notations on both top and bottom covers to assure proper note selection.
